Brand Film

Tim convinced the agency that it would be possible to shoot a sun drenched Dubai commercial right in England. Pulling off the illusion became a visual challenge. Every frame had to be carefully composed to sell the environment while quietly avoiding grey skies and unmistakably British architecture. The team worked closely with camera and art direction to create the feeling of warm Middle Eastern light and modern interiors, building the world through precise framing and production design. The only small giveaway was a few very British radiators that had to be painted out in post so viewers would not question why a Dubai apartment needed central heating. In the end, the project became a great example of creative problem solving, using smart filmmaking tricks and a bit of visual sleight of hand to transport the audience somewhere entirely different.
